"I got my first glasses just before entering 2nd grade. It is not unusual to see young children wearing glasses now. Not so much in 1961! Unable to wear contacts, I got mono vision LASIK at 50. No more glasses! Fantastic! Well, it will happen to most people, cataracts developed. My doctor made every effort to keep the monovision for me, but over a couple of years, my distance eye has lost a lot of clarity. Now, I am looking into wearing a contact in my distance eye because advancements will probably allow for a more comfortable fit. The lenses are not too heavy or any thicker than usual for a 9. 0+ prescription, although I do pay more for the thinner lenses. Super pleased with the results."
